Social Media & Marketing Intern


Responsibilities

Manage the content execution and scheduling on Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook.
Engage with our followers across all platforms, primarily Instagram
Continuously researching, seeking latest digital trends and concepts to grow our social media presence
Assist with finding, curating, and creating content that is visually consistent with the ALIX brand aesthetic
Using your creative but analytical mind to pro-actively bring fresh ideas to the table and successfully execute
Strategize and execute brand partnerships and influencer marketing, gifting

Requirements
Active presence in social media platforms with prior experience in content creation; specifically, Instagram.
In depth understanding of Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest.
Tech and Internet savvy with a strong creative aesthetic.
Pursuit of digital/social media career is a plus
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office Suite is a must
Self-starter and excellent time management skills
Photography experience is a plus.

  • Support marketing campaign planning and execution.
  • Write copy for social media posts, promotional emails, and other marketing collateral.
  • Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels.
  • Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions.
  • Assist in the management of website SEO.
  • Take part in formal and informal training opportunities.
  • Measure and report the results of marketing initiatives.
 
Marketing Intern Qualifications / Skills:
  • Applied understanding of basic marketing principles
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of SEO techniques and best practices
  • Basic photography, image and video editing, and graphic design skills
 
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field
  • Successful completion of introductory courses in marketing, business, or equivalent
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Previous experience with the use of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social) a plus
